Turn Your iPod Touch into an iPhone

I have an iPod Touch and it's really cool. It looks a lot like an iPhone. The iPod Touch can be hacked to run most of the iPhone applications and they're basically the same gizmo. The article goes over how to take the iTouch to the next level, to make phone calls. Since the iTouch doesn't have a microphone it requires adding one. Since the iTouch doesn't have cellphone hardware, and it does have wifi hardware, the hack requires using a VOIP client to run over a wifi connection.

Use a Linux box as an iTunes music server

iTunes has a documented network protocol for sharing stuff over the network. It doesn't require an Apple-supplied widget.

Running Linux on a Mac Mini

I have a Mac Mini and have had some problems getting Leopard to run on it.. and decided to try installing Linux to experiment with what might be the problem. Under Leopard the screen often goes 'weird' and the system stops responding. It's not clear what's going on there. I tried updating the system to 10.5.2 and it refused to properly update.

The first question was -- is there anything special to do to install Linux on this machine? The Mini, like all Mac's, use EFI rather than the normal firmware used in PC's so would that cause an issue with Linux?
