You don’t have to be a hollywood celebrity to have fans. All you need is a facebook account. What happens from there is up to you.
While it’s true that many of the popular facebook pages are for the usual celebrities, some are clearly not (a.k.a. “I sleep”). Clearly some people have created fan pages and through some means of manifestment they’ve managed to get millions of people to become fans of their pages.

Sceptics in the UK and the US have moved to capitalise on a series of hacked emails (aka climategate) from climate change scientists at the University of East Anglia, claiming they show attempts to hide information that does not support the case for human activity causing rising temperatures. But tonight the UK prime minister, Gordon Brown, his environment secretary, Ed Miliband, and Ed Markey, the man who co-authored the US climate change bill, joined forces to condemn the sceptics.

They are a "new media and podcasting" consulting bureau. They happen to have a podcast directory on their website. Most of the website is about how to create a podcast and you have to hunt in the administrivia links at the bottom of the page to find the directory.
Adding a podcast to the directory is simple - click on the 'Submit a Podcast' link, fill in the fields, and wait for the confirmation email. That confirmation email includes a verification link you must visit.

Among the recent awardees of DoE funding for transformational energy projects is a small company, 1366 Technologies, who is making a mighty big claim. That photovoltaic panels will soon become the largest manufacturing industry in the history of mankind. This is due to development of photovoltaic panels costing the same as coal fired power plants. Today the Nobel committee awarded the yearly Peace Prize to President Barack Obama. Of course it's going to set off a firestorm of ridiculous criticism from the right wing harrumphing crowd. But what I'm more interested in is.. why now? Why not award this in a few years after he's proved he can fulfill the promised dream vision with which he won the presidency? Was the Nobel Committee still caught up in the dreamy aura he had in the 6 months or so between the election and the end of his first 100 days in office?

Biofuel is defined as solid, liquid or gaseous fuel obtained from relatively recently lifeless or living biological material and is different from fossil fuels, which are derived from long dead biological material. Also, various plants and plant-derived materials are used for biofuel manufacturing. Biofuels are interesting because they can theoretically be produced sustainably, unlike fossil fuels which will require the planet multimillions of years or more to produce.
Biofuels are most commonly used to power vehicles, heat homes, and for cooking.

I'm drawing on several threads of thinking in several presentations and conversations this week at JavaOne, and am thinking the Java Community Process (JCP) no longer serves the needs of the Java ecosystem. I'm not the first to say this, not the last, but here's a few thoughts anyway.
